DAVID JONES BRIDAL EXPO

Yesterday WHITE RABBIT PROJECTS was delighted to attend David Jones bridal expo as a guest (for once).

Positioned on the plush Seventh Floor of the department stores Elizabeth Street building – it was one of the most beautiful bridal events we have been to. Seventh heaven perhaps even…

The styling, the suppliers, the space. It was a magical night which certainly managed to make both bride and supplier feel very special indeed. The way it should be.

The thing we loved most? Why, there was not a pushy sales pitch nor crowded walkway in site. Not to mention the sense of arrival – being greeted by dapper young gentleman holding trays of Pommery piccolos and a goodie bag will always get our attention.

The roof was filled with colourful streamers that draped onto the ground near. The only thing missing in our opinion was bubbles! Aside from that minor hitch, each supplier was marked by a giant meteorological balloon. Quite possibly our favourite event prop of the minute (aside from rabbits that is).

The peace de resistance? The typical ‘white’ went out the door – it was fun, fresh, happy and bright. We were VIP’s for the night and managed to lap up the special attention amongst a host of relaxed brides-to-be.

Working the room we were lucky to meet a team of talented suppliers – some familiar faces and some whom we look forward to sharing with you all very soon.

Shoes of Prey. Style Rocks. Uberstone. La Prairie. Pearl Catering. Roll up in a Rolls. Napoleon Perdis. Kashaya & Co. Equmen and so many more…

Hosted by Vogue, Australia Editor Edwina McCann walked guests through a relaxed and casually commentated fashion parade with the designer of her own wedding gown – the one and only Collette Dinnigan.

Well done to David Jones organisers – you certainly provided a trillion options and ideas for brides-to-be and managed to pull it off with aplomb.

Yours,

WRPx

PS…Miss Mario was ill yesterday and so apologies for the poor quality of photos. Her understudy (Mr Iphone) just didn’t manage to pull it off on the night.
